Padre Is Now Terminal: What Changed After the Pump.fun Acquisition
In October 2025 Pump.fun acquired Padre and rebranded it as Terminal. What changed, what stayed the same for Padre traders, and how to spot the official site.
What happened
In October 2025, Pump.fun, the largest memecoin launchpad on Solana, announced it had acquired Padre. Shortly after, Padre was rebranded as Terminal. For users the visible changes were the logo, the product name in the interface and the X account, which became @TradingTerminal. The trading URL trade.padre.gg kept working as before.
What stayed the same
- Accounts and wallets: same login, same wallets, same balances.
- Supported chains: Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain.
- Core features: Discover/Trenches, limit and stop orders, wallet tracking, copy trading, Smart Scan.
- Cashback program: still 10% by default and up to 35% via referral; existing referral codes remain valid.
- Non-custodial model: keys are still encrypted in your browser.
What changed
- Brand name: Padre → Terminal. In the app, docs and official socials you now see "Terminal".
- Owner: Pump.fun, which opens the door to deeper integration with tokens launched on Pump.fun (for example buying during the bonding phase).
- $PADRE token: according to post-acquisition announcements the token no longer has a utility role in the platform. If you still hold it, do your own research before deciding what to do.
Why this site still says "Padre Terminal"
Traders are used to the name Padre; the searches "Padre Terminal", "Padre trade" and "trade Padre gg" remain far more common than "Terminal", which is too generic to search for. We keep the familiar name so you can find us, always note the official new name, and always link to the official URL.
Stay alert after a rebrand
