Padre Is Now Terminal: What Changed After the Pump.fun Acquisition

What happened in the Padre Terminal rebrand

In October 2025, Pump.fun, the largest memecoin launchpad on Solana, announced it had acquired Padre trade. Shortly after, Padre was rebranded as Terminal. For users the visible changes were the logo, the product name in the interface and the X account, which became @TradingTerminal. The trading URL trade.padre.gg kept working as before, and still does: we signed in on the day of writing and the session, the wallets and the saved presets were all where we left them.

If you only remember one thing from this page, make it that one. A rebrand changes what is printed on the product. It does not change the address you type, and anything telling you the address has moved is a phishing attempt.

What stayed the same

• Accounts and wallets: same login, same wallets, same balances.
• Supported chains: Solana, Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain.
• Core features: Discover/Trenches, limit and stop orders, wallet tracking, copy trading, Smart Scan.
• Cashback program: still 10% by default and up to 35% via referral; existing referral codes remain valid.
• Non-custodial model: keys are still encrypted in your browser.
• Documentation: the official reference stayed at docs.padre.gg.

What changed

• Brand name: Padre → Terminal. In the app, docs and official socials you now see "Terminal".
• Owner: Pump.fun, which opens the door to deeper integration with tokens launched on Pump.fun, for example buying during the bonding phase. How that flow works in practice is in padre pump fun trading.
• $PADRE token: according to post-acquisition announcements the token no longer has a utility role in the platform. If you still hold it, do your own research before deciding what to do.

What the acquisition actually means for your trading

Most acquisitions in this corner of crypto change nothing for the end user except a logo. This one is slightly different, because the buyer is the launchpad that creates a large share of the tokens the terminal is used to trade. Three practical consequences:

• Curve data arrives faster. Tokens still on a Pump.fun bonding curve show up in Trenches with their curve progress, so buying before migration is a first-class flow rather than something bolted on.
• Two fee layers while a token is on the curve. The launchpad takes its cut and the terminal takes its own. After migration you pay the terminal fee plus whatever the pool charges. The numbers we measured are on the Padre Terminal fees page.
• No vetting is implied. This is the part people misread. Common ownership does not mean the tokens are screened, endorsed or safer. Pump.fun is permissionless: anyone can deploy anything, and most of what appears in the New column is worth nothing an hour later.

Padre, Terminal, padre gg: which name is correct

All of them, depending on what you mean. Terminal is the current official brand. Padre is the original name, still used by most of the community. trade.padre.gg is the address, which never changed. You will also see people write padre gg, padre.gg, Padre trade, terminal padre, and the common misspellings parde terminal and prade terminal. They all refer to this one product.

The naming matters for one practical reason: when you search for help, results written before October 2025 describe the pre-acquisition product. Fee and feature complaints from then may simply no longer apply, which is why every page here carries the date we last verified it.

Why this site still says "Padre Terminal"

Traders are used to the name Padre; the searches "Padre Terminal", "Padre trade" and "trade Padre gg" remain far more common than "Terminal", which is too generic to search for. We keep the familiar name so you can find us, always note the official new name, and always link to the official URL.

Stay alert after a rebrand

Every product rebrand is an opportunity for scammers, because for a while nobody is quite sure what the product is called or where it lives. We have already seen domains like "padre-terminal-app" and "padre-login" pop up, plus accounts using the old Padre logo to look established.

The only rule you need: log in at trade.padre.gg and nowhere else. Type it by hand, bookmark it, and never reach the terminal through an ad, a DM or a search result you did not read carefully.
